I traveled to Malawi in Eastern Africa in January this year. It was so astoundingly beautiful without even trying to be.
Easily my favourite country from my travels through Africa so far.

What’s the story of this gentleman at the bottom? I can’t stop staring intently at him. Lovely work.

He was sitting on a small seat by himself outside of a small grocery store in Nkhata Bay, Malawi. He wasn’t with anyone or speaking to anyone. He was just sitting there, thinking. Not really paying attention to anyone around him.
I went up to him and offered him a cigarette in exchange for the pic, and we had a little chat as best we could (language barrier) – he thought it was great chatting to a young man from Australia. ha!
Where can I see some pictures that you’ve taken Laura ?

These are beautiful photographs. I hope one day to visit Africa and see the same beauty in people and places as you’ve captured.
