Hey Laura!
He was sitting on a small seat by himself outside of a small grocery store in Nkhata Bay, Malawi. He wasn’t with anyone or speaking to anyone. He was just sitting there, thinking. Not really paying attention to anyone around him.
I went up to him and offered him a cigarette in exchange for the pic, and we had a little chat as best we could (language barrier) – he thought it was great chatting to a young man from Australia. ha!
