Cab Merlot.

On a trip to Adelaide, S.A. to play at Gorgeous Festival with emma louise, I shot a roll of fuji film up in the hills around all the vineyards.

When I got it back all the shots had weird double exposures on them and I couldn’t figure out why. The previous exposures were of some friends of mine in a house they had lived in about 3 years ago!

It took me 2 days before I figured out that the film was given to me with an old camera from a friend. I must have accidentally mixed it up with the unused  films.

All of the shots were ruined except this one.

  2. This is awesome! It is as if you meant for this to happen.

And the horse… priceless! He is watching her and looks like he wants to go over there, but is mesmerized.

There is even a light hanging from the sky. You should definitely print this to be framed. It is beautiful. I would love to see this hanging in my home.

Thank you for sharing with us. I love it when bad things turn out good. 🙂

  3. Ha! I just realized she is in a towel. That just adds to the mystery of the horse’s gaze! And look how the sticks and grass blend in with the bottom of the couch. I love it.

I want this picture! I was just looking at AnArtistADay on Google and was impressed with all the beautiful art work, but this is by far my favorite picture I have probably EVER seen.

  4. Great shot (s). There’s something haunting about it, as if we are seeing the horse’s lonesome daydream. Lovely.
